Strong Partnerships Support Student Learning and Engagement!

The La Honda-Pescadero Big Lift programs have built strong partnerships with San Mateo County Library programs, Bay Area Discovery Museum, CuriOdyssey, TomKat Ranch, and Friends of Santa Cruz State Parks among other great community agencies. Teachers report benefiting from the additional curriculum support and students love the access to STEAM activities and inspiring field trips!

The Big Lift initiative is led by San Mateo County, San Mateo County Office of Education, and Silicon Valley Community Foundation with the aim to have 80% of the county’s third graders reading proficiently by the end of third grade.
